The translation process can be broken down into two types of activity:
Understanding an ST Formulating a TT
- According to Dickins (2008: 7), while formulating a TT, one may come up against a problem. When this happens, it may be necessary to return and reinterpret the ST. This reinterpretation sometimes means that the original strategy has to be revised. This revision in turn entails changes to some of the decisions of detail.
